When the world took a wild, unexpected turn in early 2020, Maria Valentino [ Expert Botanical & Mushroom Wellness Formulator ] moved to her sustainable farm sanctuary in Costa Rica, where she built a state-of-the-art science lab, established thousands of square feet of greenhouses and expansive growing chambers. This was the birth of FINCA MYSTICA, which began supplying restaurants and stores across the country with gourmet organic mushrooms, vegetables, and premium goods - during a time of shortage and uncertainty. The mission behind this new venture is to support organic family farms, encourage shopping local, and feeding communities with the mindset that Food is Medicine.

ABOUT THE FORMULATOR
Maria Valentino is the cutting-edge formulator and leader of green beauty & wellness for conscious consumers. Utilizing her platform of over 1 Million fans via social media, she empowers her audience through education centered around herbalism [plant-based healing], Mycology, and the Endocannabinoid system – while creating a one-of-a-kind, luxury experience. At a time when still considered beyond taboo, Maria was the very first formulator to combine key mushrooms and cannabinoids for a full collection of natural healing products, while working from her laboratory at the world-renown Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center. A true pioneer in plant-based wellness, she filed her first patent in 2019.
As a Pennsylvania native, the mushroom capital of the world, Maria fell in love with mycology very early on. This transitioned from forging as a young girl to becoming a master grower, spearheading the mushroom wellness industry.
Uncovering the synergy behind mushrooms, cannabis and the human body, Maria's formulas display the fantastic effects of supporting cannabinoids and terpenes from the hemp plant, in combination with the tri-terpenes, beta-glucan, polysaccharides, and adaptogens in her medicinal mushroom blends.

Her painted canvases are also displayed in public and private galleries, but her art is seen in each aspect of her brands. Every bottle, label, and custom art graphic is personally designed by Maria with extreme attention to detail, displaying a natural aesthetic that is exotic, yet classic.
